Meeting Rooms in Chiang Mai: Your Options
If you need a room in Chiang Mai for a client meeting, an interview, a workshop or a call you cannot take from an open-plan floor, here are your options and what each is actually like.
Hotel business centres
Most large Chiang Mai hotels will rent you a meeting room. They are reliable, they look professional, and they are the most expensive option by a distance. Reasonable if the meeting is high-stakes and you are billing it to a client. Overkill for a Tuesday catch-up.
Cafes
Free, and everyone tries this first. The problem is not the coffee, it is that you cannot control the environment. You cannot guarantee a table for six, you cannot present anything on a screen, and you cannot say anything confidential.
Fine for a first coffee with someone. Not fine for anything that matters.
Coworking meeting rooms
The middle option, and usually the right one. Most Chiang Mai coworking spaces have at least one bookable room, priced by the hour, often free or discounted for members.
What varies, and what to ask about:
Capacity, honestly stated. A room described as seating eight often seats six comfortably.
A screen you can actually connect to. Ask what the connection is. HDMI, and does it work with whatever your laptop is.
A door and walls that reach the ceiling. Glass boxes with a gap at the top are common and they do not contain sound in either direction.
Whether you can bring guests in. Some spaces charge visitors a day pass to enter the building, which turns a four-person meeting into an unexpected bill.
Whether you can get coffee for people. Small thing, makes a difference.

A note on burning season
From roughly February to April, Chiang Mai air quality is bad, sometimes very bad. If you are bringing clients or running a workshop in that window, ask whether the building has air purifiers before you book. Plenty of otherwise good rooms do not, and a three-hour workshop in unfiltered air in March is unpleasant for everyone.
