How Much Does Coworking Cost in Chiang Mai?

Coworking in Chiang Mai costs 250 to 500 THB for a day pass, and 3,500 to 6,000 THB a month for a hot desk. That is the short answer. The longer answer is that the headline price is rarely what you end up paying, because what is included varies a lot more than the number does.

The number that actually matters

Compare what comes with the desk, not the desk.

The most common extra in Chiang Mai is a monitor. Several spaces here rent them by the day or the month on top of your desk fee. If you write code, edit video, or do anything with more than one window open, that is not optional, and it can add a meaningful amount to a monthly bill.

The second thing to check is whether you can take a call. A coworking space without soundproof booths is a coworking space where you take client calls in a stairwell. Ask how many booths there are, not whether they exist. Two booths across four floors means you will be waiting.

Third, check the hours against how you actually work. Several Chiang Mai spaces run 24/7, but only for members on a monthly plan. If you are here for two weeks on day passes, 24/7 access you cannot use is not a feature. RealSpace is open 9am to midnight every day, and you do not need a membership to be here at 11pm.

Day pass or monthly?

The break-even is simpler than people expect. At 300 THB a day and 4,000 THB a month, fourteen days is the tipping point. If you will be in Chiang Mai for a month and you work most weekdays, the monthly is cheaper by a wide margin, and you stop thinking about it every morning.

If you are here for a week, buy day passes. If you are here for a month and unsure, buy a day pass first and see whether the room suits you. Any space confident in itself will be happy with that.

The thing that is not on the price list

Most coworking spaces sell you a desk and a wifi password. We also have a content studio in the building, and it is not a self-service room you book and then work out alone. There is a team who set the gear up, film you, and edit the footage afterwards.
